The baking, carving, and structural planning was all done by
Puddlejumper pieces were drawn out by myself based on screencaps at Stargate Caps and I iced the designs onto the ginger!jumper.
Our "schematics" yielded a front piece, a back piece, two side pieces, three slabs to form the top, and two drive pods:

This is the ginger!jumper immediately after construction; the major bits that were sticking out got carved down with a hobby knife. Then we let it sit for a bit while we went out for tapas.



After dinner I set about icing the jumper details, also aided by numerous screencaps. The results!


To recreate a classic Simpsons scene:
O'Neill: Get. In. The. Spruce. Moose.
McKay: But it's not a real--
O'Neill: I said, GET. IN.

It spent a day in the fridge to fully solidify, at which point we could pick it up and run around the kitchen making flying noises (at least I did):

Plus he got me the SG-1 replica mirror, which is made of pretties.
